Why I chose this topic.
I wanted to find out...
- With gender stereotypes comes gender discrimination.
- To see how it is that people either around the world of within our own country feel about gender stereotypes.
- Wanting to see if by not acting like your gender "should" act determines whether you are seen as "different" or "wrong"
- And if so seen "different" or "wrong" do you get catertorized as "gay", "lesbian", "dyke
- If you tell someone to "act like a man" why should they? What going to happen to them if they don't? What harm do they bring to people around them?
- Are we just selfish and don't want to see a "difference" from what's "normal."
- Do these stereotypes come from religion, culture, or from society.
- Is it hard to change the ways our minds are set? How is it that we don't accept these changes, but don't realize that changes are going around all over the world.
